Restoration and sculptural detail reconstruction of a larger-than-life sandstone sculpture.

Careful manual cleaning (steam), consolidation of loose original material (scales, spalling) through needling and non-insulating gluing, detail reconstruction of both arms, both legs and the head and sandstone copies of the models, installation (stone grafts/adequate material), detailed restoration of the surface, respectively sealing of the surface with mineral restoration mortar (damages measuring less than 15 mm in diameter were not repaired), conservation with KSE (flood coat wet-in-wet), transport and re-erection.
